I was born and grew up in Borken/Westphalia.

I completed my studies and the legal clerkship in Münster with results above average.

From 2002 until 2007, I worked as research assistent at the Chair for Civil Law, Labour Law and Comparative Law of the FernUniversität in Hagen and at the Institute for German and European Labour Law and Social Law (IDEAS). I also completed my doctor’s degree in Labour Law at the FernUniversität in Hagen.

From 2007 until 2008 I worked as attorney in the full service law firm "Gleiss Lutz" in Stuttgart and from 2008 until 2017 in the law firm for labour law "Kliemt & Vollstädt" in Düsseldorf. Here, I was member of the international team and of the "international practice group discrimination" in the alliance "Ius Laboris".

In August 2017 I established my own office in Düsseldorf.

In August 2018 I took the examination for becoming a notary. This covers

• commercial law,
• company law including the rules for the reorganisation of companies,
  
• real estate property law,
  
• family law and
  
• inheritance law.
  

Since June 2020 my office is based in Essen. In this area, it is possible to stay lawyer and to become a notary in addition.
